Watch for details coming soon on how to register to be one of the "trunks" for our 2nd Annual Avalon Trunk or Treat. There is no registration needed to just participate in the Truck or Treat or Avalon Business District Trick or Treat. Click Here to register your vehicle. Halloween Parade
Please join us on October 29 starting at 10:30AM for a day of Halloween fun!
First, visit our businesses for Trick or Treating and stop by the Avalon Municipal Parking Lot for Trunk or Treat! If you would like to host a Trunk or Treat, please email info@growavalon.org to register. Spots are limited! Starting at 11:00AM you may register your children in California Park for the parade.

The Halloween Parade starts at 11:00AM at California Park in Avalon. Head on down to Park in Bellevue afterwards for contests, games and activities.

Dumpster Day
Get ready for our Fall DUMPSTER DAY! Clean out that basement, garage or attic and bring your oversized items down to the parking lot across from the Avalon Volunteer Fire Department, located at the corner of New Brighton Road and Frederick Street.
This service is offered FREE to Avalon and Bellevue residents with proof of ID or residency - limited to two vehicle trips. Non Residents: $20 carload / $40 truck load / $60 larger vehicle load.
Please note that not all items are accepted, including any type of electronics, including TVs and computers.
YES: building materials, metals, lumber, oversized items, furniture.
NO: tires, car batteries, varnish, paint, yard/tree waste, appliances, bagged household garbage.
Located in the parking lot at the corner of New Brighton Road and Frederick Street (across from the Avalon Volunteer Fire Department).
We thank all the wonderful volunteers and the Bellevue and Avalon Department of Public Works for making this morning possible. Get psyched to throw out the trash this weekend!
Touch A Truck
It’s "Touch a Truck" time in Avalon Borough! Bring your kids to visit, touch and sit in our borough's vehicles - from fire trucks to construction! There will be snacks and concessions available, over 20 vendors, a multi-table book sale and everyone's favorite - raffle tickets for over 20 baskets!! This fun, annual community event is in support of the Friends of Avalon Public Library. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, so come hang out with your neighbors and touch a truck!
North Boroughs Community Day
Hosted by the North Boroughs, this free community event is open to the public for a day of coming together and celebration! All are welcome starting at 6PM to dusk in the Avalon Community Park. Please join us for a 50/50 Raffle Drawing, Live Music by “Told Ya So!” and the main attraction, Fireworks! Food and Drink Vendors will be on site providing all your festival favorites from hamburgers and hot dogs to snow cones and cotton candy. Avalon, Bellevue, Ben Avon Heights and Emsworth Boroughs look forward to hosting this beautiful community event each year. Bring your picnic blankets, family and friends for a fun evening! (Rain Date is Labor Date, Monday, Sept. 5)
